(Re)design your legal career
Coaching program based on design thinking

Feeling uncertain about your career path?
In the fast-paced world of law, it’s easy to follow a trajectory without ever stopping to ask:
“Is this the career I truly want?”
You may feel that your work no longer reflects your strengths, values, or ambitions. You may be questioning if there’s a better fit — within or beyond the legal profession.
Yet, with a demanding schedule and high expectations, finding a clear and structured way to rethink your career can feel overwhelming.
This coaching program offers a proven, methodical approach to help you redesign your career with clarity, confidence, and minimal risk — using Design Thinking principles.
Start from where you are
The entirely online program consists of two logical, complementary 6-week parts.
Part 1 is for you if you want to rethink the basics of your career and realign with your vision. Part 2 is for you if you have a plan but need support to realize it.
You are free to join either one or both of them.

Part 1: Reflect and Realign
Clarify your professional compass and uncover actionable insights.
What it is:
A guided process to revisit the fundamentals — your professional and personal values, career history, motivations, and strengths. Through structured exercises, we build a clear, evidence-based plan for the next phase of your career, either in law or beyond.
Who it’s for:
Legal professionals who feel they are at a crossroads, considering a change, or seeking to find renewed meaning and direction in their work.
What you will gain:
-
A clearly defined “Work and Life Compass” to guide your decisions.
-
Insight into the patterns and skills that have shaped your career so far.
-
A personalized, realistic career plan aligned with your authentic self.
Part 2: Prototype and Transform
Turn your plan into reality through small, strategic experiments.
What it is:
Instead of taking a risky leap, you will implement your career changes step-by-step. You will design small “prototypes” — low-risk, high-learning experiments — to test different career options, work conditions, or job roles. This process allows for continual adjustment based on real-world feedback.
Who it’s for:
Legal professionals who are ready to move from reflection into action, whether that means improving their current role, shifting to a new legal field, or making a broader career change.
What you will gain:
-
Practical experience with new career directions before making major commitments.
-
A dynamic action plan that evolves based on evidence and feedback.
-
Confidence to navigate uncertainty with a structured, analytical approach.

About me

My name is Eszter Bodnár. I am a law professor and a certified coach, primarily working with individuals and companies in the legal industry.
I began my career in public service, working for the National Election Office and the Ministry of Justice in Hungary. In these roles, I was responsible for legal drafting, which allowed me to strengthen my strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills. Over the course of a decade, I collaborated closely with judges, lawyers, government officials, policy-makers, and NGOs at both domestic and international levels, gaining valuable insights into their professions and the challenges they face. Later, I joined an international NGO, where I developed international capacity-building and training projects for government officials across Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
My passion for research and teaching eventually led me back to academia, where I work with the next generation of lawyers. As a law professor, I have taught thousands of students and mentored dozens of graduate students and younger colleagues worldwide. I have authored a monograph, edited several books, and published over a hundred book chapters and journal articles. My teaching and research have taken me to the US, Australia, Canada, Latin America, most of the European Union member states, and beyond. I also co-founded and served as a co-chair of an international network of Central and Eastern European public law specialists.
I am currently an associate professor at ELTE Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and an adjunct professor at the University of Victoria, Canada. I also hold a continuous teaching appointment at the University of Heidelberg and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Study in Pisa.
2017 was a turning point in my life and career—I moved to Canada, and while continuing my legal projects, I took on a new role as the director of Sonus Foundation, an independent NGO dedicated to making contemporary classical music more accessible and sustainable. In this role, I established a program to support young musicians in their entrepreneurial journey.
I hold a J.D. and a Ph.D. from ELTE Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and earned my International Coaching Certificate from the World Coaching Organization.
I divide my time between the West Coast of Canada and Europe, offering both online and in-person services.
